Our Enchanting Boardwalk

When the southerly winds finally mellow the lake sediment drops out and the water becomes crystal clear. The lake is very beguiling on these days and a walk or swim is in order.

As you stroll along the creaky old boardwalk which winds its way around the flourishing mangroves and over the sandy shores, you can watch the crabs feeding on microscopic organisms or the scurrying marine slaters feeding on the washed-up seagrasses. Occasionally a stingray appears with some the fish following it, eager to grab a leftover morsel from their dinner.
